As a non-profit organization, Yabgu Team was formed by two passionate researchers with a shared goal of comprehending the fundamentals of geophysical instruments and electronics. Through our collaborative efforts, we embarked on a journey of exploration and discovery, laying the foundation for future endeavors

In May 2018, Yabgu Technology LTD was established by Huseyin Sevim, marking a significant milestone in our journey. We transitioned from a non-profit organization to a commercially-focused venture, driven by our passion for innovation and geoscience.

Our first major accomplishment came through securing a groundbreaking R&D project supported by KOSGEB. This project focused on developing a state-of-the-art Resistivity Meter and IP Product, making us pioneers in geoscience research and development in Turkey.

With the creation of our company, we aimed to bridge the gap between innovation and profitability. We were determined to leverage our expertise and knowledge to not only advance the field of geoscience but also achieve financial success.

This milestone marked the beginning of an exciting chapter, where we set out to revolutionize the industry, drive technological advancements, and establish strong partnerships with clients and collaborators.

In August 2019, we celebrated the successful completion of our first project, a significant milestone in our entrepreneurial journey. Our relentless dedication led to the development of a unique and versatile geophysical instrument.

This groundbreaking device served as a valuable tool in various areas of geoscientific exploration and analysis. Its applications extended far beyond the detection of aquifer contamination, encompassing underground exploration through diverse methodologies, mineral exploration for metallic mines, groundwater exploration, and large-scale ground surveys.

Kocaeli University recognized the immense potential of our innovative solution and became the proud buyer, utilizing our device for cutting-edge research and applications. The versatility and reliability of our product were further evidenced through academic papers authored by esteemed researchers, affirming its efficacy in a wide range of geoscientific fields.

This achievement not only demonstrated our commitment to excellence but also opened doors to new collaborations and opportunities. It positioned us as pioneers in the geophysical instrument industry, driving us to continuously develop innovative solutions that push the boundaries of scientific exploration.

In September 2019, we embarked on an exciting project supported by TUBITAK, a significant milestone in our journey. This project aimed to develop a state-of-the-art wireless seismic device for advanced seismic tomography applications.

To accomplish this ambitious goal, we assembled a team of highly skilled professionals and academics, all driven by a shared passion for innovation. The expertise and diverse perspectives brought by our team members were instrumental in shaping the project’s success.

Throughout the project, our focus was on creating final prototypes that would revolutionize seismic tomography. These wireless devices would enable seamless data acquisition and transmission, empowering researchers and scientists to explore the subsurface with unprecedented accuracy and efficiency.

Supported by TUBITAK, we navigated the complex landscape of research and development, pushing the boundaries of technological advancement. The collaboration with renowned experts and the resources provided by TUBITAK propelled us closer to achieving our vision of transforming seismic imaging capabilities.

This project served as a testament to our commitment to cutting-edge technology and our dedication to driving advancements in the field of geoscientific exploration. It laid the foundation for future innovations and positioned us as leaders in seismic imaging technology.

During this period, we took significant strides in expanding our product offerings. We introduced a diverse range of innovative solutions that were directly connected to our initial project.

Our product line now includes rock sample testers, SP (self-potential) devices, SMPS DC-DC voltage boosters, and 2kW AC-DC motor drivers, all of which were made available for purchase.

In addition to expanding our product range, we focused on catering to the specific needs of our valued customers. We developed custom automation solutions tailored to their unique requirements, particularly in the heavy industry sector. These solutions were designed and implemented based on private requests from our esteemed clients. Our commitment to delivering high-quality products and providing personalized automation solutions has established us as a trusted partner in meeting our customers’ diverse and evolving needs.

In December 2019, the world was confronted with the unprecedented challenge of the COVID-19 pandemic. This global health crisis had a profound impact on our company, leading to significant setbacks and unforeseen obstacles.

As the pandemic unfolded, the business landscape underwent drastic changes. Many orders and projects were canceled, causing substantial financial strain. The sudden disruption in the market and the subsequent economic downturn pushed our company to the brink of bankruptcy.

One of the projects affected by these circumstances was a promising seismic project that had to be canceled due to the prevailing uncertainties and constraints. It was a difficult decision, but one that had to be made in order to navigate the challenging times and ensure the long-term sustainability of our company.

During this period, our team faced numerous challenges and had to adapt to the evolving situation. We remained resilient, leveraging our collective expertise and determination to find innovative solutions despite the adversities.

While the pandemic presented significant hurdles, it also served as a catalyst for introspection and the exploration of new opportunities. We seized this moment to reevaluate our strategies, streamline our operations, and identify areas of growth and resilience.

This period of adversity became a valuable learning experience, reinforcing our commitment to adaptability, agility, and perseverance. It sharpened our focus and nurtured a spirit of resilience that would guide us through the difficult times and set the stage for future successes.

In April 2021, as the immediate effects of the pandemic began to subside, our company’s marketing team initiated a crucial campaign focused on raising awareness about the looming water crisis. Recognizing the escalating water shortage issues expected to intensify after 2030, we aimed to enlighten people and drive collective action towards sustainable water management.

Our dedicated marketing team crafted a comprehensive program that highlighted the urgency of addressing water scarcity and emphasized the importance of conservation efforts. Through various channels and platforms, we disseminated educational materials, organized community events, and engaged with stakeholders to promote sustainable water practices.

The impact of our campaign was significant, as it captured the attention of local administrations and prompted collaborative efforts to tackle the impending water crisis. Some forward-thinking local authorities recognized the severity of the issue and partnered with us to implement preventive measures and develop long-term solutions.

However, we also encountered challenges in garnering widespread attention and mobilizing the public as effectively as desired. Despite our best efforts, not everyone grasped the urgency of the situation or fully embraced the need for immediate action. This highlighted the importance of continuous advocacy and the need to foster a greater sense of collective responsibility towards addressing the water crisis.

Our campaign served as a catalyst for change, igniting conversations, inspiring collaborations, and laying the foundation for ongoing efforts to combat water scarcity. By shedding light on this critical issue and fostering partnerships, we aimed to create a lasting impact and drive positive change for a more sustainable future.

In May 2021, I proudly introduced my innovative Water Control System, providing an alternative solution for local administrations in managing their water resources more effectively. With a strong emphasis on affordability and functionality, my system stood out as a cost-efficient option compared to existing solutions in the market.

One of the key strengths of my Water Control System is that every hardware component was meticulously designed by me. Drawing on my expertise in embedded systems and electronics, I dedicated countless hours to engineer high-quality, reliable, and efficient hardware that formed the backbone of the system.

By taking full ownership of the hardware design process, I ensured that each component was tailored to the specific needs and requirements of the Water Control System. Through meticulous attention to detail and a deep understanding of the system’s functionalities, I created cutting-edge hardware that seamlessly integrated with the software and delivered optimal performance.

Moreover, my focus on affordability played a crucial role in the development of the Water Control System. By leveraging strategic sourcing, efficient manufacturing processes, and optimized design choices, I was able to significantly reduce production costs while maintaining the highest standards of quality. This cost advantage made my system a compelling choice for local administrations, enabling them to achieve their water management goals without breaking their budgets.

With my Water Control System, local administrations gained the ability to monitor and manage water resources in real-time, allowing for proactive decision-making and effective water conservation strategies. The comprehensive data analysis, automated controls, and intuitive user interfaces provided by the system empowered administrators to optimize water usage and mitigate wastage.

I take great pride in the fact that every hardware component of the Water Control System was designed by me. This hands-on approach ensured the highest level of quality, customization, and reliability, setting my system apart from others in the market. Through my dedication and expertise, I aimed to make a meaningful impact on water management practices, helping communities preserve this precious resource for a sustainable future.

In March 2022, we embarked on our first high-tech automation project in collaboration with TCDD, a leading railroad company. Building on our expertise in providing solutions for repairing old electronic devices used in high-speed train systems, we developed an innovative solution for enhancing current sensing signal relays. By doubling the output, we significantly improved the efficiency and reliability of the system. Our partnership with TCDD demonstrates our commitment to delivering cutting-edge solutions in the field of high-speed rail technology, contributing to the advancement and safety of transportation infrastructure.

In April 2023, we embarked on an ambitious project: the development of Wireless Seismic Device Ver. 2. This project carried the legacy of our previous endeavor, which unfortunately had to be put on hold due to the challenging circumstances of the pandemic and the lack of necessary funding.

However, with our company’s resurgence and the increased support we garnered, we saw an opportunity to revive and enhance the original concept. Seeking project support from TUBITAK, we aimed to leverage their expertise and resources to propel our research and development efforts forward. By building upon the foundation laid by the earlier project, we aspired to create an advanced seismic device that would revolutionize subsurface exploration.

Through this project, we aimed to contribute valuable insights to scientific research, innovation, and the advancement of the industry as a whole. Our goal was to develop a cutting-edge wireless seismic device that would provide accurate and real-time data, enabling more efficient and precise subsurface imaging. With the support of TUBITAK, we were confident in our ability to overcome challenges and deliver a groundbreaking solution to the field of geophysics.
